Get ready for an electrifying evening of classic rock at the Milton Theatre as Kategory 5 takes the stage on July 6, Saturday, at 8:00 PM. Kategory 5 is renowned for performing some of the most challenging music from the classic rock era, including hits from iconic bands such as Yes, Styx, Rush, Boston, and Kansas.
About Kategory 5
Formed in 2014, Kategory 5 is a six-piece rock band known for their dynamic performances and exceptional musicianship. With a lineup that includes both male and female lead vocals, keyboards, dual lead guitars, bass, and drums, Kategory 5 delivers powerful renditions of classic and progressive rock, blues, R&B, and pop music from the 1970s and 1980s. Their repertoire also features original songs that showcase their songwriting talent.
Kategory 5 gained significant recognition after winning the Houseband contest for WMGK 102.9FM Philadelphia in 2016, which led to performances at major events, including opening for Joan Jett and Boston at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ. They also had the opportunity to open for Taylor Dayne and Eddie Money in 2017, sponsored by WJBR 99.5FM Wilmington, DE.
The band has been hard at work writing and recording original material, with their debut CD release planned for November. Their live shows are a mix of expertly performed cover songs and original tracks, characterized by detailed musicianship, dynamic harmonies, and high-energy performances that leave audiences wanting more.
