6th Annual Andy & Opie Fishing Tournament

Join Techno Goober on Saturday, October 3rd from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Milton Memorial Park – 113 Union St., Milton DE 19968 – for a day of free fishing & fun! *REGISTRATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE THIS YEAR! We encourage registration forms to be filled out prior to the event this year!

All winners will be announced by 1:00 PM. *All children must be accompanied by an adult & have a completed registration

form in order to participate in the tournament.

 

 

Please bring your fishing rods & tackle to the event! Free fishing bait will be provided. Due to Covid restrictions we will not be able to serve hot dogs to our participants. Food trucks will be available for snacks & lunch between 11 – 1. This year, we are bringing back The Frozen Farmer Ice Cream Truck &

adding an appearance from the Grandpa Mac truck!

 

The age groups are 7 & under, 8-12 & 13-17, with a boys’ & girls division. A fishing rod or tackle box will be provided, at the end of the tournament, to the first 300 registered children! 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place trophies will be given to the winners of EACH age group (of both the boys & girls division) for the longest fish caught, between 9 AM – NOON. Two trophies will also be presented for the overall ‘TOURNAMENT CHAMPION’ of the day, as well as a ‘GOOBER’S CHOICE’ award. Also the ‘Overall Winner’ of this tournament will receive a custom Andy & Opie’ fishing rod, crafted by the local PC Rods (A $300.00 Value!!)

 

This year’s proceeds will be donated to ‘The Lower Delaware Duffle Bag Project’. This beautiful group of

volunteers create handmade duffle bags for children entering foster care in Sussex & Kent counties.
