Cancer Support Community Delaware

Cancer Support Community Delaware is a statewide nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. Our members are adults, teens and children with cancer and their family members/caregivers. As all of our services are provided free of charge, we must rely on the generosity of government, foundations, corporations and individuals to continue our programs. We must rely on the generosity of government, foundations, corporations, and individuals to continue to fund our programs.  In Sussex County, we have a series of signature events that help fund raise.  All proceeds raised in Delaware, stay in Delaware.  For over 25 years, our volunteers and staff have dedicated themselves to making our mission our tradition, se we can ensure that no Delawarean ever faces cancer alone.  Our community partners sponsor events, and provide media coverage, raffle items, in-kind donations, and volunteer power to help us.  We know we cannot do this alone.  We encourage you to get involved in Cancer Support Community Delaware too!

Our services are unique. We are the only organization in Delaware dedicated exclusively to helping people cope with and manage the emotional aspect of cancer, using the “patient active” concept. We also focus on the cancer participants’ family and/or caregivers, including children and teenagers.

Conveniently located to serve residents in Sussex County, Cancer Support Community is located on the Beebe Health Campus (Rt. 24) in the Medical Arts Building. There is ample parking available and the facility is handicapped accessible. Our office suite is bright and welcoming with all the comforts of home. Visit our library for up-to-date resources; relax in our Mind/Body Center; or join us for a cup of tea and cookies in our kitchen. We’re always glad to see you!
