Horseshoe Crab and Shorebird Festival
A full day of activities at Prime Hook NWR and in the town of Milton. The Milton Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Friends of Prime Hook NWR. The refuge will be hosting a variety of activities throughout the day.
Refuge Activities
- 8:00am Sussex Bird Club will lead a bird walk. Meet at the Visitor Center Parking lot.
- 9:00 – 3:00 at the refuge headquarters
- Refuge Scavenger Hunt
- Touch tank with live horseshoe crabs
- Informational video
- Photo Board
- Coloring and crafts
- 10:00 – 2:00 Kayaking experience with Quest Kayak Fleetwood Pond
- Location, Fleetwood Pond
- Registration at location on day of festival
- Beanbag Toss game to play while waiting for your turn in the kayaks.
