Milton Arts Guild’s Spring Fling Expands to Two Locations

Milton Arts Guild’s popular Spring Fling market event has expanded to two locations this year, with 24 vendors selling their art and fine crafts at both the Guild’s 107 Federal Street gallery and at nearby Studios on Walnut at 310 Walnut Street.

Spring Fling kicks off 11 a.m-3 p.m. on Friday, April 19, and continues on Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If the weather cooperates, three of the Guild’s plein air artists will be working along the route between the Federal and Walnut Street locations on Saturday, adding to festivities of the day.

“Spring Fling has always been one of our most popular events of the year,” Sue Dutton, president of Milton Arts Guild’s Board, said.  “This year, the overwhelming excitement about Spring Fling inspired us to expand to an additional location – which our friends at Studio on Walnut happily offered – to satisfy the demand.”

On Saturday, at Studios on Walnut, a children’s table will allow kids to explore their creativity while their parents browse the market.

In addition, a beautiful pastel painting, donated by artist Liz Miceli, will be raffled off at the Federal Street gallery.  The painting began as a demonstration by Miceli at MAG’s annual membership meeting.  When she had finished it, she donated the finished work to the Guild.
